Last night was one of the coldest nights LA has had in a while. It was assumed that the weather change would put a damper on the fashion choices. It turns out that a little cold air isn’t enough to stop celebrities from dressing in pastels and cut-out gowns.
The 70th annual Golden Globes will definitely go down in history. There were a lot of amazing moments last night, including Tina and Amy’s comical costumes choices, Bill Clinton’s standing ovation and Jodie Foster’s ‘coming out’ speech. While all those highlights have impacted all of the shows viewers, we’re here to talk about the fashion.
Some of last nights fashion trends featured pastels, nudes, lace, reds and sexy black cutouts. Below are my top 3 best dressed looks of the night. On a side note, most of the guys were looking fine in their fancy suits and facial hair. But that’s neither here nor there.
First up we have Kate Hudson. Her black Alexander McQueen gown turned heads. It featured a plunging neckline with an embellished belt and gold collar. As one of the first presenters of the night, she definitely got the attention she deserved.
As per usual Jessica Alba looked gorgeous. While her peach Oscar de la Renta gown was fabulous, it was her sparkling diamonds that made Page 6. The Harry Winston diamond necklace that was hanging around Jessica’s neck was reportedly valued at $5.8 million. Her look was completed with platinum and round diamond stud earrings and pear-shaped cluster ring from the same fabulous designer.
And an award show wouldn’t be complete without an over-the-top, barely-there gown. Jennifer Lopez has done it again. She is probably one of the only people who can pull off this look. The extremely sheer Zuhair Murad laced gown was bold and sexy. Between her long flowing locks and natural sex appeal, I think J.Lo did it again.
Stay tuned for more red carpet moments worth talking about.
